First we collect environmental, permitting, zoning, energy grid data from various different sources; then we analyze the data and use AI to identify the best places for developers to build their next projects.

Paces is growing rapidly and looking for exceptional people to join who want to have a massive positive climate impact while building a great culture! We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our Solutions Engineering team, reporting directly to the Head of Customer Success.

🏆 What You’ll Achieve

• Surface bankable sites. Use your project‑development skills to identify parcels on interconnection headroom, zoning, environmental risk, and load proximity, then articulate why they are likely to reach NTP.
• Run deep‑dive risk analyses on distribution, transmission, and behind‑the‑meter opportunities, presenting findings that de‑risk eight‑figure investment decisions.
• Be the voice of the developer. File product tickets, hop into design reviews, and keep our engineers honest so the platform gets faster for you, your fellow Solutions Engineers/Associate SEs, and our customers.
• Level‑up the org. Mentor Associate SEs, refine playbooks, and contribute to internal tooling that slices hours (or days) off repetitive workflows.
• (Bonus) Power‑flow wizardry. If you can run load‑flow, short‑circuit, and hosting‑capacity calculations in your sleep, we really want to speak with you!

📈 Requirements

• 3+ years of exceptional professional experience in one of the following roles: Project Developer, Development Engineer, Interconnection/Power‑Systems Engineer, Environmental & Permitting Specialist, Site Acquisition Manager, Data‑Center Site‑Selection Analyst, or a closely related role.
• Fluency with GIS, Python, or other data-analysis tools.
• Comfort presenting to audiences ranging from the C-suite to county zoning boards.

💰 Compensation and Benefits

• $150,000-$170,000 annual compensation
• Competitive equity compensation
